Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital is looking to expand our specialty team and add a board certified, or residency trained veterinary specialist to the team. Hickory is a family-owned, third generation, private practice located in the Philadelphia suburbs of southern Montgomery County, PA. We are a full-service hybrid general practice, 24/7 emergency, and specialty facility that has been rapidly expanding over the past 5 years as a counterpoint to corporatization in the region.
The facility is equipped with 64-slice CT, 1.5T MRI, underwater treadmill, multiple surgical suites and equipment, ultrasound, oxygen cages, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, etc. We currently have full-time neurology, critical care, behavior and part time positions filled for surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology and cardiology. As privately owned, we are looking to expand the hospital’s specialists and offer the potential for equity in the profitable company to do so!
Specialists’ base salary is guaranteed to be at the high end of industry normal and will match corporate rates. Other benefits include 4 weeks PTO, 1 week CE with stipend, health care, 401k match, licenses and professional liability insurance coverage- all the normal - plus sign on bonus, moving stipend if indicated and rent/supplemental income for a time period if you are willing to move your location to join us. We truly want to continue to grow our hospital in this region and have been successful thus far and want to share our success with those who are willing to help us grow.
