Winship is growing with a new 17-story facility. We're seeking enthusiastic health care professionals now for available roles in multiple areas. Join us! The new Winship at Emory Midtown facility, comprising 17 stories and more than 450,000 square feet, was built around our patient's needs and comfort, bringing all the necessary doctors, staff and services to the patient so the patient does not need to switch locations during their visit. The care communities will focus on patients with specific types of cancer, providing specialized infusion facilities, clinical examination rooms, clinical research, and spaces for support and rehabilitation services. Description - Identifies training needs and participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of staff development programs within an assigned area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates expertise in the roles of teacher, practitioner, manager, and researcher.
- Provides input into the development of the departmental budget. Acts as an educational consultant to nursing staff. Develops and delivers training content. Assist in development and in the production of educational packets.
- Handles logistics for training seminars by establishing program agendas, arranging for facilities and refreshments, and scheduling speakers. Serves as a preceptor in the development of nurse teachers and/or nurse managers.
- Develops methods and materials to communicate the availability of training programs. Maintains course participation records. Develops and conducts training courses by determining and using the most appropriate methods for adult learning. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Four years of nursing experience which includes one year of teaching experience.
- BLS certification required, ASCL preferred from the American Heart Association.
- Masters degree required. (MSN in Nursing Education preferred.)
