As an Infrastructure Engineer, Sr within PNC's Enterprise Technology Site Reliability organization, you will be based in one of our Technology hub locations (Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Birmingham, AL, or Cleveland, OH). Weekly time in the office is required.

Job Overview: The Infrastructure Engineer Sr. will be responsible for design, implementation, and management of network observability and monitoring solutions across the organization's infrastructure. This includes ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the network systems. The role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of network technologies, observability tools, capable of leading a team to maintain and optimize network operations in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Preferred Skills:
•\tExtensive experience with Cisco and Arista routers and switches, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
•\tProficiency in cloud networking principles and technologies, with hands-on experience in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
•\tStrong understanding of network monitoring tools and techniques, with the ability to implement comprehensive observability solutions.
•\tKnowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and its application in modern network infrastructures.
•\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications:
•\tStrong experience in network engineering.
•\tRelevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert), Arista ACE (Arista Certified Engineering), or equivalent.
•\tExperience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
•\tFamiliarity with IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.

• Provides expertise on platform engineering, while overseeing the team's effort and meeting customer needs. Uses technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
• Develops software components and hardware for complex projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
• Provides expertise on best practices, standards, engineering approaches and complex technical resolutions for processes.
• Places emphasis on quality improvement efforts; ensures that deliverables are secure, scalable and reliable through estimation and correction.
• Communicates with customers and integrates their needs with development, to meet business objectives.
