We Hear You Audiology P.C., is a private practice seeking a qualified Audiologist to join our team and give patients the care they deserve. Our focus is hearing our patients and helping them find the best solution for them. We are not trying to sell hearing aids to those who do not need them. We strive to offer the best practices in hearing care. We determine each patient’s individual needs with an extensive assessment of their hearing and speech understanding.

We are searching for an ambitious and motivated audiologist who wants to be part of a growing company and enjoys helping those people that need it most.

We have two office locations one in Corpus Christi, TX and another in Fort Worth, TX. We offer in office care, mobile audiology services and facilitated telehealth. We offer a range of management options including auditory retraining, assistive listening devices, hearing aids and cochlear implants. We are able to do this in a boothless location because of the Shoebox technology that we own. Our hearing aid fittings strengthen the process for our patients learning to hear again. We love our patients and we hear them.

This position is located in Corpus Christi, TX. The duties and responsibilities are carried out within the office location and patient homes as needed. All required credentials must be maintained as a condition of employment in the occupation.

Knowledge of principles and techniques in the assessment and treatment of auditory and balance disorders.

Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology scope of practice.

Ability to interact with patients, families and other health care professionals.

Skill in determining nature, type and severity of hearing/communication /vestibular disorders.

Skill in counseling patients and family members regarding management of hearing/communication/vestibular disorders.

Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional audiology to other health care professionals.

Ability to independently apply professional contemporary audiologic treatments to the full range of patient populations

Clinical duties and responsibilities include direct patient care involving a full range of audiology and balance evaluation and treatment services, including the selection and fitting of hearing aids and other amplification systems and devices, aural (auditory) rehabilitation, and counseling of hearing-impaired Veterans and their family.

Identifies and evaluates individuals with hearing disorders in the reception and perception of speech, language and other acoustic signals to a full range of patient complexity. Administers the full range of tests including the testing of vestibular nerve function; evaluates the type and degree of hearing loss for patients who may be unable to provide consistent and reliable reaction to diagnostics.

Is responsible for planning, delivering, and monitoring the effectiveness and clinical outcomes of patient-centered treatment and rehabilitative services for patients with significant physical and psychological complicating conditions; including, but not limited to, the selection and fitting of all types of hearing aids; programming of digital hearing aids; issuance of hearing protection devices for prevention of acoustic trauma for those individuals working in a noisy environment.

Plans, conducts, and coordinates auditory (aural) rehabilitation, tinnitus, and/or vestibular rehabilitation programs for patients; designs patient-centered treatment plans to assist patient and caregivers to maximize and restore to the greatest extent possible physical and social functioning; and designs, monitors, and conducts a comprehensive hearing conservation program for employees at risk for noise exposure. serves as a consultant to other facility personnel involving the most difficult and complex cases and is a recognized subject matter expert on matters related to hearing, tinnitus, and balance disorders. is responsible for supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and precepting student trainees in audiology and maintained a liaison with affiliated colleges and universities.

He/she may also provide instruction to residents and interns who seek information relation to audiology.

Completes all documentation in accordance with facility policy.

Remains current with new developments in audiology and will maintain professional competency by reading professional journals and engaging in continuing education activities and professional learning experiences and by communicating with other professionals in the profession and related professions.

Communication is required by this position and the incumbent will be expected to attend regular staff meetings and inter-disciplinary health care team meeting as appropriate; review policies and procedures and attend in-service training.

Must have a considerable knowledge of the technical aspects of both the clinical instruments as well as the calibration instruments.

Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.

Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to Employee compliance and integrity guidelines.

Complies with clinical documentation requirements.

Completes required documentation to support dispensing and purchasing hearing aids.

Provide follow-up support and counseling via in person, phone and remote services for new and existing customers

Make earmold impressions and select appropriate ear piece options

Participates in meetings as requested by leadership.

Participates in process improvement.

Communicates with referring and community physicians to maximize patient care, establish a professional relationship and develop a consistent referral base. Informs Manager of any difficulties.

Generates suggestions for improving work processes.

Demonstrates an understanding of evidence based practice.

Demonstrates the ability to use computer/software applications required for the job.

Ensures all equipment is in good working order with current calibration.

Complies with infection control responsibilities of the company.

Makes and implements decisions compatible with organizational goals.

Maintains composure, effectiveness, and flexibility under pressure.

Provides clinical supervision/guidance to the following job classes under direction of the corporation owner: Hearing Aid Specialist and Audiology Intern and Student Affiliates.

Maintain relationships with hearing aid manufacturers and track, review, approve and submit invoices for payment.

Marketing for the hearing aid practice to grow the business and its related sales.

Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure and maintain patient confidentiality.

Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, have sales aptitude, and can manage time effectively.

*Education and/or Experience:*

Master's degree in Audiology; OR Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Au.D.) or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required:

Current Texas Licensure as an Audiologist

Minimum of two years of experience as an Audiologist.

Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Willingness to visits patient homes and meet customers face to face.

Physical requirements include sitting, stooping, standing, walking, potentially for an extended period, and reaching above shoulder height and below the waist as required.

Reliable transportation

Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to work independently

Advanced communication skills

Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
